The Team

Andy is an experienced field geologist with an analytical mind, professional attitude, calm focus and an epic beard

Andy is originally from the UK and was picking up fossils on southern beaches with his grandfather from the time he could walk. That was the moment that geology became his passion.

He attended the University of Wales, College of Cardiff and graduated with a degree in Environmental Geoscience in 1998. After a few temporary contracts working for various palaeontological museum departments in Europe during a downturn in global exploration activities, Andy went into Financial Services Management, passing his Financial Planning exams in the UK and thus gaining valuable management and monetary experience.

His break came following a holiday to Canada, when he met with various exploration companies, and eventually was offered a field geologist position in Guyana, South America. The company was subsequently taken over by Victoria Gold Corp., and Andy was transferred to the Yukon (Canada) operations to run the Eagle Gold site at Dublin Gulch. He was then head hunted by Ryan Gold Corp. to oversee operations on their 85 Yukon exploration projects as their Chief Geologist.

Andy has had extensive experience in field management and practical applications of exploration development, with teams of over 100 people and budgets in excess of $15 million. He has specialised in geochemical data acquisition, statistical analysis and interpretation. He is striving to bring a standardisation to field procedures, and has successfully implemented schemes in several new and established companies to date.

He now brings this experience and expertise to you through Strata GeoData Services, as well as an extensive contact and networking list throughout North America.
