Quality Control (QAQC)

Umpire Testing

An important step in any control over sample results is to establish an 'umpire lab test'. A selection of geochemical pulp samples are sent to a different lab from the originals for assaying, and then the results are compared.

Using statistical analysis we can identify any significant drift in numbers that could affect interval and resource calculations.

We will select the samples and can monitor them through the whole process, before finally writing a report for your records, complete with recommendations / actions for follow up work.

Audits and Sign Off of Data

Whether you are looking for an independent professional to check your data and sign off on it (such as drill results for news release) or to go over historical assays and determine their validity, we can help.

Auditing is especially useful when a property and all its data changes hands, or as 'best practice' for periodical internal checks.

Statistical Analysis of Results

SGDS can take your field data from rock and soil samples and perform a series of statistical tests to discover relationships between elements and ore minerals.

This type of analysis is especially useful for determining true 'pathfinder' elements of an ore body, something that will have a bearing on future exploration activities.

Lab Inspections / Recommendations

We are happy to visit the lab you are using to perform an independent assessment of the facility and the procedures being used, especially in the preparation facilities. This can often be done at a time when your own samples are being processed and so direct observations can be made.

We have excellent contacts within the assaying labs, so if you have a specific need we can try and match you to a lab that can meet the needs of your project.
