Sampling
Geochemical sampling in the field often forms the basis of all future and advanced exploration work on a site, and samples are continually collected through the life of a project.
We provide your company with a set of sampling guidelines for soils, rock chips, trenching, diamond drill core and RC chips. We recognize that every company and site has a variety of needs and we can accommodate that in our guidelines.
Once written, it is possible for us to come to your office / site to train staff ensuring protocols are followed.
Field Mapping
Field mapping is another essential element of any field program that can be approached a myriad of different ways, and often by people on the same team. Personal experience has observed some missed opportunities by field staff set up to map an area.
We can help with providing templates that collect a uniform data format that is ideal for digital compilation afterwards.
Along with field mapping, we can devise sampling regimes and also an 'in the field' curation of rock specimens for later study in the office / base camp. We have found that having such a 'rock library' has been extremely useful when comparing sites or revising data out of the field.
Drill Core Logging
Diamond coring is often the most expensive and longest part of any exploration program, and as such it is important that information is logged in a methodical, accurate, thorough and consistent manner.
We can work with your geologists (or by ourselves) to review your site and needs, and developing a core logging system that works for you. The end product would include not only guidelines but also templates for logging and data sheets.
Quality Control (QAQC)
One thing that we pride ourselves on is the planning and implementation of QAQC programs for exploration activities. Programs that have been in place and subsequently reviewed during Feasibility Studies have been described as 'above and beyond' and 'extremely well executed' (Wardrop review of Eagle Gold Project 2011).
We can work with you to produce guidelines covering the use of controls in sampling, the types of controls to be used, monitoring the quality, preservation of data and even umpire testing.
